Plain rice, boring. Great rice, chances are that you’re gonna ruin it. This is a colourful, delicious rice for absolute beginners. So easy that even you can do it. Now throw your Uncle Ben’s pseudo-rice away and start making your own!

- Boil some water and add wholegrain rice to it. But how much rice should I use? Yeah, I know, difficult, huh? No! 8 tablespoons per person is a fucking normal portion. If you’re hungry add an extra one, if you’re on a diet, stop reading and go to the salads section.
- Boil it for the time set on the package. Wholegrain rice needs from 15 to 30 min, and normal rice from 8 to 15 minutes.
- Dice enough red, green and yellow bell pepper. Add them to a pan with a splash of olive oil and ground cumin and cook them slowly while the rice is on the pot.
- When the rice is done, rinse it, add it to the pan with the pepper, add salt, a tad of olive oil and mix well.
The only thing that can go wrong is to overcook or undercook the rice. That’s why I’m telling you to look at the recommended cooking time… But fuck it! The best way to do it is to actually taste it while you’re cooking it and decide for yourself. Oh! And don’t burn the peppers!! Remember: low heat, they have plenty of time to cook.
Now go and practice!
